Coaching

“The coach is not a problem solver, a teacher, an advisor, an instructor or even an expert; he or she is a sounding board, facilitator… who raises awareness and responsibility”

– Sir John Whitmore

Coaching as a process for personal development continues to grow in popularity, both in one-on-one and group formats. We find it particularly useful in embedding learning, both alongside training interventions and post training. It is often in the coaching process that the ‘aha’ moments are the most meaningful to participants.

When a safe environment is created, individuals and groups can overcome blocks they may have in either understanding or application of new learning. Fundamental to coaching is that ownership rests with the coachee. The job of the coach is to help them find the answers they need from within.
